　　据2008年4月28日《丹东之窗》www.china-dandong.net资讯: 4月26日，振安区汤山城镇龙泉村彩旗飘扬，鼓锣喧天。省电力公司2008年首批电网建设项目暨500千伏丹东北输变电工程在这里启动。副省长刘国强，市委书记薛恒，常务副市长于国平出席了开工仪式。随着刘国强下达开工令，出席仪式的省、市领导及电力系统领导共同为项目奠基。该工程总投资约18亿元，是丹东历史上首座等级最高、投资额最大的输变电工程，计划于2009年建成投产，投运后将与大连、本溪形成500千伏联网，在提高辽宁电网500千伏主网架可靠性的同时，也解决了蒲石河抽水蓄能电站、华能丹东电厂、丹东金山热电厂及鸭绿江流域水电的电力送出问题，并提高丹东电网供电能力及供电可靠性，为丹东地区的经济发展提供强有力的电力保障。
　　于国平代表市委、市政府对项目的启动表示祝贺。他说，500千伏丹东北输变电工程是省电力公司在丹东继新建220千伏凤城上善送变电工程、扩建220千伏东港新兴送变电工程实施后，支持丹东经济发展的又一重大输变电项目。这一项目的启动，对加快我市能源基地建设、发展电力产业有着十分重大的意义，必将推动丹东经济快速发展，为我市确定的超常规、跨越式发展目标提供强有力的电力保障。丹东市委、市政府将全力支持电网建设工作，同时，全力做好电网建设项目的各项服务工作，为工程建设创造良好的环境。
